Our Process.

Getting your new product to market more efficiently than ever before.

At ADPM, additive manufacturing is not just what we do – it's how we think. We've built our entire process around giving NZ manufacturers a faster, smarter, more cost-effective pathway from concept to market.

We work with you at every stage: understanding your product goals, developing and refining your prototype, managing your production run, and delivering a finished product ready to perform. Our team brings engineering-grade capability together with genuine commitment to partnership – so you're never left wondering what's happening with your project.

Step 1 - Consulting

This is the critical first step to ensure your design files are accurate for outputting as a prototype before then being manufactured to the quantity you need - anything up to around 30,000 units.

We work directly with you to get your new invention or product improvement to market as efficiently and cost-effectively as possible.

We have the knowledge, experience and expertise to guide you through the full product cycle – from concept to low-volume production – using specialist additive manufacturing with polymer materials. We can also support your transition to high volume manufacturing with another provider when the time is right.

Boost Your In-House Team: We work with high-performance product development teams to extend your capabilities or add resource when you need it most – freeing your team to focus where they're needed most.

Step 2 - Prototyping

Before any production begins, we'll work with you to develop a prototype truly representative of your final end-use product – ready for further development, testing and refinement.

Our team collaborates with you throughout this stage to optimise your design and improve on your initial concepts, so you go into manufacturing with confidence.

Step 3 - Manufacturing

As additive manufacturing specialists for polymer products, we handle production runs of up to 30,000 units – giving you a fast, cost-effective solution to get to market efficiently.

Small manufacturing runs are ideal for managing seasonal demand, navigating the learning phase in new markets, or offering just-in-time replacement parts to your customers. No excess warehouse stock needed – simply order as and when required. Drop shipping available on request.

Step 4 - Finishing

Our polymer blasting service gives your final product a smooth surface and a more professional, market-ready appearance. Finishing is an optional extra depending on how and where your product will be used.
